It's here!

4th February 2015

It's finally arrived!

Back in November, as part of the Centenary celebrations, I informed children that we had purchased one of the very special handmade poppies, which, at the time, were displayed in the Tower of London moat.

It was early January when the poppy arrived in school but, conscious that each one is incredibly fragile, we waited until our specially designed display cabinet arrived before we unveiled it to the children.

We are thrilled that it is finally here and it is creating quite a stir in the school foyer. The poppy will now remain at the very heart of our school as a reminder of the many lives lost, not only during the First World War but also in conflicts that have followed.

All members of our school family are welcome to pop in and see the poppy, if you look closely, you may even spot some genuine moat mud!
