Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday

Celebrating Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday!
We have had lots of fun today celebrating Roald Dahl's 100th Birthday.
We were overwhelmed by the effort put into all of the 'Dahlicious' fancy dress costumes - a huge well done to everybody who took part. There was a parade in the hall this morning and a 'best dressed character' was chosen from each class. The winners will be announced on Friday in Praise assembly.
The 'decorate a door' competition was judged by Mr Hastilow, our caretaker. Year 4 were the lucky winners with their Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed door. Well done to everybody for all of your hard work in making the school look fabulous and an extra special well done to Year 4 and Mr Briley!
We also watched some of the 'Puffin Virtually Live' broadcast - there were lots of different sections to the broadcast including part of the Matilda broadway show.
We have all (children and staff) had a fabulous day!
Have a look at some of our 'Dahlicious' fancy dress costumes and classroom doors... Can you work out which book each year group studied?
