Hello everyone.

We had a great time at Forest school this week, looking for signs of spring and bugs.

 

Harvey enjoyed splashing in the mud.

Yesterday we had our first Forset school session. We had great fun exploring our site. We went on an animal hunt, looking for squrriels, mice, birds and bettles. We found a big piece ice in the fire pit, which we broke into lots of pieces.

We had hot chocolate and biscuits for our snack to warm us up. Please see some of our photos below .

Happy New Year & Welcome Back

This term, every Tuesday afternoon we will be having our Forest School sessions.  Please remember to send your child in warm clothes and if you have them, a pair of wellingtons. Any problems please speak to us.

 

Our Topic is  Winter/Dinosaurs, if your child has any books or toys on these topics please send them in for us to share.

 

 

17th December 2021

Wow, what a week we have had getting ready for Christmas. 

We have made Santa's, Christmas trees, calendars and cards.

We had a fabulous party on Tuesday, Santa came and brought us all a present and we had party food and games. Look out for our pictures on the newsletter.

Many thanks for all our lovely cards and gifts. We hope you all have a very special Christmas and new year.

22nd October 2021

 

This week our story has been "Peppa's Pumpkin Party".

 

We have hammered pumpkins, drawn on pumpkins and collected pumpkin seeds.  We have also made our own pumpkin lanterns.

 

 

Our Mini Adventure is all about collecting Autumn leaves.  Perhaps you could walk around Chase Water or the park and collect some leaves.  If you take any photo's we would love to see them after the holidays.

 

REMINDER - As weather gets colder please ensure your child always wears a warm coat, hat and gloves - We love to explore outside.

What a fabulous year we have had in Bright Beginnings so far.  All our children have settled in well and are enjoying all the exciting learning we have been doing over the last few weeks.  Our Topic this term has been all about Ourselves, our Families and the Food we like. Please take a look below to see the all fun we have been having whilst learning together.

Friday 26th March 2021

 

Hello Everyone, we have had a lovely week learning all about eggs. Our story was about a baby Goose called 'Goz'.

We have enjoyed decorating eggs with paint, sticking leaves and twigs on our eggs and touching enormous Rhea eggs.

Next week will be learning all about 'Rabbits'. Our story is called 'Hooray for Hoppy' by Tim Hopgood.

If you would like to draw or paint  a bunny picture to bring into school on Monday, we would love to see it.

Hello Everyone, hope you had a lovely weekend in the sunshine, I think Spring is on it's way.

This weeks story is " Dinosaurumpus " by Tony Mitton ( see link below )

We are exploring lots of different types of Dinosaurs in school this week, perhaps you could draw or paint a picture of your favourite Dinosaur, we would love to see it.

Hello Everyone, hope you are all well and are staying safe. This is our last week before our half term holiday. Our story this week is Whatever Next by Jill Murphy (find the link below)

The Teddy Bear in the story goes to the moon with an Owl, perhaps you could pretend to go to the moon, can you find a teddy and count 5,4,3,2,1, Blast off.

We will be having our  zoom session on Thursday at 2pm, we would love to see you.
