Coronavirus

Dear Parents/Carers
Coronavirus Response
Understandably there has been much concern recently regarding the coronavirus and its possible impact on our school. This has included rumours about staff/children having the virus, and the school having to close. I can confirm that as things stand we have not had any cases of the virus reported within our school population. We continue to take preventative measures as advised by Public Health England and the Department for Education.
Following yesterday's news conference, I just wanted to confirm the latest update from the government states that you should stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
· a high temperature (over 37.8)
· a new, continuous cough
In addition, self-isolation following medical advice due to complex underlying health issues.
If your family have to self isolate, can you please inform the school immediately as we have to report numbers of children off daily to the Department for Education.
In the event that school closure is enforced by the government, we are making plans for work to be sent home for the children.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Stephanie Cotton
Headteacher
