Partial School Closure from 6th January 2021

04 January 2021

Dear Parents/Carers

Partial school closure for the next 2 weeks

I am sure you will have seen in the news the rise in covid cases, including in Brownhills and Walsall. In order to slow the spread of the virus as much as possible, school staff will be following advice by their unions to not teach full classes, under section 44 of the Health and Safety Act. Therefore, the school will only open to keyworkers and vulnerable children from Wednesday 6th to Monday 18th January. We envisage that this arrangement will take place for two weeks unless we hear differently.

Whilst this is not what we wanted to happen, the safety of our whole school community has to be our priority.

In order to ensure learning is continued, we will be following our remote learning plan, which is on our school website. We will be providing online learning as we did in the previous lockdown and ensuring that children who do not have access to this have work packs provided.

Thank you for working with us in helping us all to keep our community safe.

Stay safe

Kindest regards

Mrs Stephanie Cotton                                                             Headteacher
