Hello Year 3 :)
Happy Easter! I hope you are all well and staying safe.
So this week I have been doing lots reading and I have almost finished my book. I have been completing lots of puzzles to keep my brain active. I also went food shopping for my Nan and Grandad and I had to queue outside Morrisons for half an hour!
I am really missing you and I hope you are all being good at home.
I have been keeping an eye on who has been completing the online tasks that I have set. I would like to say a huge well done guys! There has been a lot more of you completing lots of work on Times Table Rock Stars, Diagnostic questions and I want to say I'm really proud of you for trying so hard with your home learning.
This week, it would be amazing to see you guys keeping up the hard work completing your online tasks (Times Table Rock Stars, Lexia and Diagnostic Questions). I am keeping track of the children who are completing the tasks that I set.
I would like to say a huge well done to the following children:
Ruslan, Ethan and Oscar - for completing all your minutes on Lexia and more!
Amber, Maja, Bailey, Tommy-Lee, Oscar, Max, Enya-Mai, Jaydee, Ronnie, Ethan, Ruslan, Ella and Chloe - for completing the tasks on diagnostic questions. Keep it up you guys!
Casey, Yomi, Alfie, Ella, Oscar, Amber, Maja, Ruslan, Gracie, Ronnie, Jaydee, Bailey and Tommy-Lee - for doing your sessions on Times Table Rock Stars regularly! Well done everyone who has logged in this week and tried hard. I know who you are!
We have an email address that you can send pictures of all your hard work and activities to. I would love to see what you are getting up to so I can put more pictures on the website.
Please keep up the fabulous work everyone and once again stay safe!

Welcome to Year 3!
Miss Painter & Miss Moore
Welcome to Year 3's page. Here we will keep you updated on what has been going on in Year 3 over the year. At the bottom of this page you will find documents and links that you may find handy to use with your child.
Indoor PE kit consists of blue shorts, a yellow t-shirt and black pumps. For Outdoor PE lessons children will need a kit that will keep them sufficiently warm and dry so a tracksuit, trainers, clean socks and a lightweight waterproof jacket would be ideal.
PE kits should be in school every day but the days we have our lessons are:
Indoor PE: Monday
Outdoor PE: Wednesday
Earrings should not be worn for PE and hair should be tied back.
The children will not be swimming this term.
We expect children:
- to read at least four times each week - reading diaries will be checked on Fridays so that we can reward children who have read.
- to practise their times tables on the Times Tables Rockstars app (we will provide paper copies for those who don't have an internet connection).
- to learn their weekly spellings.
- to complete a topic project.
Star of the Week, Writer of the Month and Mathematician of the Month
Each week Miss Painter and Miss Moore pick a 'Star of the Week' along with a fabulous half termly Mathematician, Writer, and Hand writer. Maths work and writing is on display in our achievement corridor.
