Year 6

Welcome to Year 6's class page. Here we will keep you updated with all of our amazing learning over the year. At the bottom of this page you will find documents and link that you may find useful to support your child's learning at home. 



Our PE sessions this term will be on Mondays and Fridays

Children are to come to school wearing their PE kits. Please ensure that your child has appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather. Our school PE kit consists of a team coloured t-shirt, blue shorts and pumps.

Enjoy - Yellow t-shirt 

Achieve - Green t-shirt 

Succeed - Blue t-shirt

Children are allowed to wear jogging bottoms, a jacket and trainers for outdoor PE lessons. Hair should be tied back and no jewellery should be worn. 



Year 6 children are expected to: 

-Read at least 4 times per week - this should be recorded in their reading diary which needs to be brought into school (school reading books are available and ebooks are available online through the OxfordOwl website.

Children now also have access to the new Oxford Reading Buddy website 

-At least 60minutes (10mins per day) times tables practise using TimesTable RockStars.  

-Learn year group spellings (these will no longer be sent home weekly)


Breakfast and Tuck

Bagels are provided first thing in the morning when your child arrives at school. There are free of charge and all children can help themselves. 

At breaktime we offer:

-Toast 20p

-TeaCake 20p

-Raisins 20p

-Juice (orange, forest fruit or apple) 25p



Children are responsible for looking after their own belongings. Please make sure your child's name is on all of their belongings clearly to avoid confusion and the mix up of items.
