Home School Communication Charter

At our school, strong communication between home and school is key to supporting pupil wellbeing and learning. This charter outlines how we work together to keep communication clear, respectful and purposeful.

How We Communicate

  • We use the Reach More Parents App to share updates, letters, homework and class news. Please check the app regularly.

  • Bookings for meals, clubs and trips are made through our Arbor Parents App
  • For urgent matters, contact the school office directly.

  • We aim to respond to emails and calls within three working days. Urgent issues will be prioritised.

Our Commitment

  • We communicate regularly about your child’s progress and wellbeing.

  • We will always be polite, professional and respectful.

  • We acknowledge emails and follow up within the expected timeframe.

What We Ask of Parents and Carers

  • Be respectful and clear in all communication.

  • Use the school website and app to stay informed.

  • Use the school office or mailbox as your first point of contact.

  • Keep emails brief and avoid sending multiple messages about the same issue.

  • Understand that staff may not respond outside school hours.

Meetings and Conduct

  • Meetings should be respectful and focused on resolving issues.

  • Offensive language or behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Recording meetings is only allowed with permission from all parties.

Boundaries and Procedures

  • Unreasonable or abusive communication may result in restricted contact methods.

  • Once a query has been addressed, further responses may not be provided unless circumstances change.

We are committed to working in partnership with families to ensure all communication is positive, respectful and focused on supporting our pupils.
